I turned on the heater on in my garage and made it nice and warm and I talked my wife into getting under the rear and unhook the factory harness and plug in the G4's it took her like 5 seconds and got alittle dirt on her but she did it. Even better news the blinkers blink the same time the mirrors so they must have fixed it in the Black G4's!!! I know what you mean about making it look stock but stock Tahoe tail lights are red so I see why you went with red. But like I said Denali tails are clear and have black around the lights just like the black G4's so I wanted them to look more like the stock Denali tails. They are BRIGHT!! and look good I will go take some pics but I do not know how to post them on this forum. Man I'm happy they are in I should have asked her a few days ago if I knew she would do it and it was so easy and can't believe they blink in sequence with all of the rest of the lights and I put my LED reverse bulbs in.
Thanks foe everyones help and Thanks Sophmore for all your help! I love the LEDS on the side of the lights to.

Awesome! Can't wait to see the pics. If the G4 fixed the signal problem, I'm getting them and doing away with the G3's! To see, make sure the truck is running. Press the brakes so they light up, keep them pressed and turn the turn signal on. See if the mirror blinks with the tail light, not alternates back and forth.

PICTURES. :D

And you're LUCKY that the blinking works properly! Never let anything happen to that set, they're probably 1 in a billion!

Haha, but seriously, pictures please, I'm dying to see the black set.

Oh and you tried the blinking while pressing on the brakes?

I will get pics today, I checked the signals with the brakes on and they do not flash in sequence when the brake is on but they do work right without the brake on. Just like yours but that does not bother me, they are really bright and look great! I like the LEDs on the side to.

Ahh. Well, it doesn't bother me either. Mine work fine after I press the brakes a few times. But I've got a habit of turning my signal on AFTER I start turning anyways so I'm good there. Lol.

But yes those side LED's are my favorite parts. I'm now addicted to driving downtown, where all these big glass windows are close to the street, just so I can see my truck's reflection. Haha. Best $150 spent in my opinion.

Gonna get the g4s and my 3rd brake light smoked this weekend and hopefully figure out a way to get an ltz grille because JasonS on this forum scammed me when i tried to buy his.

Upload them to Photobucket. Then copy the IMG Code url and paste it in here. It will size everything automatically.

I'm adding this to each of these G3/G4 threads for the moment:

My G3s DO HAVE the reflector strip that is said to be the difference between the G3s and G4s. So, if that's supposed to be the only difference, then there is no difference.

Either there's some other difference, or the G3s and G4s are actually the same light.

Yeah I don't think there's any difference unless it's like fitment or wiring or anything. We should give them out own name for our references. Haha.

So KMel what made you wanna switch to Denali lights? I just realized we did opposites - I went from Denali to G-whatever, and you went from G-whatever to Denali.

sophmore what kind of 3rd brake light do you have, where did you get it and cost? Is it hard to install and do you have pics?

No pics yet, I ordered the spoiler a week ago or so and they just now told me last Thursday that I had to re-order because the part number was updated.

Total with shipping for the spoiler + bolts was $137.

And I bought the OEM Escalade 3rd brake light for $85, came off a brand new Esky on the lot so it's in perfect condition!

Installation is not hard at all, you just remove like 5 screws and the old one comes off, then the Escalade light fits where the old one was.

Um... I have both, and can't decide which I prefer yet. Haha!

So, when I switch back, and then maybe back again, instead of you having to ask the question again, I'll save you the trouble and just say "Just because."

I found it on eBay. Came off a brand new Escalade so it was in perfect condition! You'll just have to look for deals like that, but from GMPartsdepartment.com I think it's around $150 shipped or less.

I am FINALLY getting the housing that goes with it in today, so I should have it all installed by Saturday.

Yeah, I did the tails and 3rd brake light back in 08. It's easy to replace. The only the that sucks about the Escalade 3rd brake light is that only a small portion of the light right in the middle lights up. Not the whole thing like the old ones. CHEAP! I wish they would make the whole thing light up!

here is a pic:

Haha my Hoe would look EXACTLY like that in the back if it weren't for the molding above the license plate. I had it painted and ready to go but the old one is way too much trouble to get off. It's impossible to do it without breaking it.

I think you can remove it easier if you take off all the trim on the inside of the door. It's not too hard to get it off. I think it's only held on there by three bolts or something.
