Sorry I don't mean to threadjack but I did this mod on my 2000 Sierra, the hardest part was trying to find the damn clockspring that would work. I got one from a S10 Blazer but it doesn't match up plug wise with the NBS plugs. You need one from a Denali or Escalde.

You aren't threadjacking at all.. glad to know this bit of information myself because my son has a 02 Sierra and guess what he wants dad to install...lol

I want to do this soon also. I'm planning to build a custom in dash ipad2 station. This steering wheel upgrade will just sweeten the mod.

I have a question on the wiring. Do All the audio controls pass electric signals through one wire? From your instructions it looked that way to me.
