Do you have a picture of how you’re tapping into the fuse block or at least a hint as to which fuse you are tapping into?
12V in ACC may not be 12V in RUN. Need to confirm your fuse is "hot" when needed. Next, you need to confirm your fuse tap has 12V out on your camera's fuse lead.12v with acc key position
this why I stated to use the harness on the mirror, it only has power when the key is on, no way for it to drain anythingThanks all for the reply. The fuse has 12v but apparently a hardwire kit is needed in order for the camera to run properly. The kit includes a voltage detector so it doesn’t drain ur batt. I’m guessing that the cam will not run without this kit.
Also, I’m sure I’m better off using it since I don’t want a dead battery either, lol.
I’ll follow up after I receive and install the kit.

There may be more to that "kit", but connecting to a switched IGN 12V means the camera is only on when ignition switch is on. Maybe the camera is like some GPS, they run on 5V, so you need a resister. Thanks all for the reply. The fuse has 12v but apparently a hardwire kit is needed in order for the camera to run properly.
