my OEM clamp rotted apart at 5 years, ~128k miles.
just DEAD in the driveway, was corroded over green (it's just a flat piece of copper bent in to shape)
took battery in, it tested good...but was getting old, so I grabbed another one.
in retrospect, i should have grabbed one with the terminal reversed, would have been easier. ( this one is ok, but it would be HARD to jump off )
basically, cut the clamp off, buy a top post clamp, bolt the OEM part to the top post clamp, pull the wires around. there is a LOT of slack in the wires..
