One last note ... if you are going to do the G4s and not do the Escalade 3rd brake lamp, then also get the matching replacement 3rd brake light because it matches the clarity of the tails, as opposed to the opaque oem on on there now. You can buy them as a set: http://www.ebay.com/itm/07-08-09-10...&fits=Model:Tahoe&hash=item20c742bbf7&vxp=mtr

It will look like this:

If you want the esky spoiler/third he won't have that ... you can usually find them on ebay in different colors, and will have to paint it to match.

Btw, if you want you can PM me any questions or start a thread on the topic ... we seem to have taken Robbie's thread slightly off topic.

I appreciate everything bro

Forgive me if this had been answered already. Can you do the harnesses with the wiring that comes with the aftermarket taillights for the Escalade? I just picked up a pair of Tahoe harnesses, now looking for lights. If I can't find a cheap set I may just pick up a set of AM for $275. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Taillights-...ght-Pair-Set-for-07-12-Escalade-/310539500551

I don't have enough posts to PM, so if you could answer here it would be great. Thanks.

Can it be done? Sure, but I don't think I can guarantee it. The harness colors are completely different. Plus it's aftermarket stuff. Can't really make 100% certain it would work.

Okay, thanks. I am looking for stockers, but I figured that if I couldn't find a decently cheap set, the aftermarkets would be just as good. I used tails from this company on my Jeep SRT8, and they were awesome. Way better then the Spyders I have on the Denali.

Anyway, you'll be hearing from me in the near future to get harnesses made.

What about these? I have an '08 Yukon XL. Will these plug directly into what I have now without the need of a modified wiring harness? Guess I am just confused....:emotions122:

Yes, those are a direct fit. No harness necessary.

Yes they will.

But you might want to do some research on those before you buy. ;)

Whats changed between Version 1 and Version 3? I'm still not sure if I want to send you the harnesses and have you do it, or just do it myself.

Just the way I make them. Mechanically, they are the same.

You can't avoid the resistors. You have to have them.

Parts are the same.

I know I have to have them, but I wish there were smaller sized ones. All I'm finding are the style you used, and the ceramic and cement ones, which I don't understand, because they have no fins to dissipate heat, and cement doesn't conduct heat, it just absorbs and maintains it. Ceramic is the same way, its used to keep heat in. How do they not cook themselves?

Anyway, all the parts should be here next week. I'll PM you then for pricing without the parts, since I already ordered the harnesses and can get the resistors for cheap too. I love eBay. I got both lights, the appliques, trailer harnesses and spare Tahoe harnesses for under $300 total. :D

I'd recommend using the resistors off of v-leds.com. They have an aluminum heatsink on them already.

I wanted to get the resistors and mounting plates from V-Leds, but they don't have any plates in stock. I'll call them on Wednesday and see when they expect more.

You don't "need" the mounting plates.

I went commando when I had mine and just let them dangle in the breeze.
