When I bought the truck it was running very rough and rich, the dash board looked like a Christmas tree. I hooked up my obd2 scanner and saw it was mis firing on 2 cylinders, needed a new oxygen sensor along with some other issues.
I bought everything on amazon-Amazon.com: Four New OEM ACDelco Ignition Coils D585 10457730 UF262 C1251 BSC1251 19279910: Automotive

I put a down payment on that one while I was waiting to get my insurance situated. I have a lot of points on my license and I explained that to the guy I was buying from. He said that if I couldn't get insurance he'd refund my money. So I found this other one in the meantime and I jumped on it.
. why did u gdt rid of the first one (wreck?)225k on a 01 runs strong last one was a 02 and had 295k on it and it ran like a top
Up to 273k on my 03 5.3L. Replaced the transmission at 250k. I regularly send oil samples to Blackstone Labs and it has a clean bill of health.
when you send it to Blackstone, do they take into consideration the oil that you use? I use Quaker State Defy which has an elevated zinc level compared to most oil's that do not. Just wondering if they would take that into consideration? Do they ask you for your oil that you typically use?
*Question.....What brand and Where did you pick up your LED interior lights ? Im considering doing that....i've put 250,000 on my 2001 Yukon XL and loved it. About ready to repaint her and redo interior carpeting : ) Can't see dropping 60+ on a New one, jus sayn.Just bought a 2001 Tahoe 5.3L with 95k miles...so far I've replaced the coils, fuel injectors, plugs, wires, synthetic oil change, drained all fluids except for the rear differential. All interior/exterior lights have been swapped out to LED, new black wheels with 33'' Mickey Thompson MTZ's...K&N cold air intake etc.
The Tahoe is running just as good as my other brand new truck, hopefully I'll get another 10-15 years out of it
