I'm at 181. Even after being lifted w/ no gearing and being dropped still feels good.

Mine has 150k, pretty sure it's the factory trans. My father's '02 silverado has 230k miles and works like new.

My sister blew up the 4L60E in her S10 at 120k... with the 2.2L gerbil engine.

Mine blew at 160k. Then I had a rebuilt go twice during a warranty. I'm a firm believer that the oem cannot be matched by a rebuild. Now I have a PACT tranny which costs close to 3k because tranny shops suck where I live. So far she is holding up.

I got 283K miles out of the original tranny on the 1997 4 door Tahoe family hauler.
Unfortunately it crapped out about 600 miles from home coming back from a ski trip up in Canada.
Had it rebuilt in Canada just so we could get back home; then I sold the truck about 3 months later so I have no idea if it was a quality rebuild or not.

185k and about to go into my 4th.

All freeway miles. First one was a boat...my fault. Can't believe my bad luck with these.

Rebuilt the 60E in my Tahoe around 156k. It now has almost 200k on it. The rebuild included a stall, shift kit, beast sunshell, and upgraded clutch packs

3 years so far on that rebuild. That included a lot of off roading, hard city driving, couple 2-3 hours highway trips and just general beating on it.

Side note. 2dr4evr. That's a very clean looking Tahoe. Very nice!

Gotta love Chevy because a transmission lasted to 180k? Thats should be expected out of any modern car... What about my cheap plastic interior that's falling apart? I love my Tahoe but could care less who it was made by... It's a truck, it runs somewhat like it should just as any other car make does...

I just had a feeling mine probably wouldn't last much farther than 200k. Did all y'all have symptoms before it went out or does it just blow out all at once?

I've got 254K on my 4L80E. All I've done is fluid and filter changes.

Thanks! I have never seen another one in person myself. I've seen 'em on other boards, especially the diesel forums I frequent. I've seen them on ebay, but not in person.

I was just driving by a car lot one Sunday afternoon almost 7 years ago when I spotted the telltale air intake holes in the front bumper. I screeched to a halt, checked it out, and came back the next day and bought it!! :D

Mine went about 228K. It was still going great except when towing. I tow a 3500 lb bay boat all over South Louisiana so I needed something that wouldn't crap out on me when pulling the boat. I bought the Level 3 or maybe Level 2 (cant remember now) from PATC. Only 2K miles so far but its doing great.

Mine was at 170k of heavy towing when I rebuilt it. The trans was still operating properly but wasn't cutting it.
