How do I connect this amp?

I had this installed some years ago, but I removed it a couple of months ago. Now I want it back in, but don't know how to connect it. Some wires seem obvious but others don't.

Red = Batt +
Black (larger) = ground
Black (with blue) = remote

RCAs = obvious

Do you know if something else has to be done first or connect one wire before the other?

Look under the hood for a fuse, remove the fuse. Then hook up the Red, black and Blue.

Hook up the RCA's then grab your speaker wire and see if it is marked with a line or symbols or something, and make sure you connect it the same way at the sub and at the amp. IE: wire with a line goes to positive speaker output on the amp, and the red terminal on the sub. the negative on the amp goes to the black terminal on the sub.

I believe @YukonXL04 is referring to the fuse that is at the battery. When the amp was installed it should have been installed with an "amp kit". That red wire should be going from the amp to the battery with an inline fuse near where it connects to the battery. He's saying to remove that.

That's the one! You should have removed it when you removed the amp lol. Chances are it's blown though.

Thats it. pull that fuse.

Wow, fuse in while power wire is flopping around in vehicle next. possible fire.

Its not blown, I can clearly see the bar inside the body.

The speaker wires don't have any label or white lines. They are identical. Do I just chance it and switch them if it didn't work the first time?

Fuse still looks good.

LOL. I saw the bar too, but they dont always break the bar when the pop.

As for the speaker wires, just hook them up however. Since they arent marked your just guessing. Once its all hooked up and working again, watch the sub when it hits and see if the cone is pushing out or pulling in when it hits. If it pushes out then your good, if it is pushing in then flip the speaker wires. It will technically work either way.

I connected everything and it didn't work. I reversed the speaker wires and nothing. Went to a shop and the guy said it was the battery wire. $30.
