Has anyone purchased HID headlights from BlackFlameCustoms.com?

I want to do this next and want to see some light output pics, I could not find any specific to this company.

Cool, I'll be waiting for the pics! Funny, I was installing rear springs at 1am last night myself.

I am curious to see the output and cutoff from these.

something don't look right, one of them is off rotation and needs to adjusted laterally outward. neither of those adjustments can be done w/o opening the headlights.
should look more like this

Maybe not perfect but pretty damn good. Beats the hell out of the cheap ass HIDs in my Tahoe and OEM headlamp assembly. I like it.

Mmm ... I wonder if that's on purpose.

I've seen a few folks prefer sloped cutoffs, although not usually with MH1s.

You might be able to adjust it a little by loosening/tightening the screws of the headlight housings, especially the ones on the sides.

Roy, I'm not sure but I think BFC 'hard mounts' their pre-retroed projectors ... if so, and unless I'm mistaken, even opening the housings won't help.

First post on the forums -- thanks Serge for the recommendation.

Matt got your email and just read through this post. If you can email me over individual pictures of the LH & RH projectors output.

The projectors we use have a small amount of rotation built in, for this exact scenario -- so if you have a small bit of time to tweak them I can walk you through the process.

If anyone else has questions please let me know.
Thanks

I might have to get in contact with BFC to see about a retro for my Denali......don't see a complete package on their site which means I will have to pick up a second set of headlights to get me by while mine are away........ So Serge-BFC is pretty good huh??

Thanks! I do have to do an intro thread but I don't know (and can't seem to find) what the vendor rules are on here. I don't wanna cause any problems with the site owners.

I thought my camera was good, but cant seem to capture the cut off
Looks better -- but it also looks like you're really close to the wall. Ideally you want to be around 30 feet away on a level surface with a flat wall.

Let me know Matt!
Thanks

This definitely should be your next mod. I have all the parts sitting here, gonna get started on the retro next weekend. Went with the FX-R projectors. I contemplated adding halos, but just didn't see it looking right. Instead, i'm going with dual switchback led's to do a daytime led thicker strip in the bottom of the headlight like serge did on his hyrbid retro.

What I really wanted was an LED strip to act as DRLs but wasn't sure if that was possible..

It's totally up to you -- I personally don't care for Halos -- but a lot of our customers love them. :)

The FX-R's will take a bit of fabrication to fit properly -- be sure to check your depth on the backside as that is usually what causes an issue.

We can't replace the DRL with LED strips, but they can be set up to turn on with the truck.
Matt - can you post some pictures of the headlights on your car?

Thanks!
