My 3/5 kit is on the way.. and I've been thumbing through some lowering threads and noticed that helper bags are pretty common on 3/5 drops.

I can get an Air Lift 1000 rear kit for about $91 shipped.

Is this a must? Or at least worth the $100?

$400-$600 (depending if you get new shocks) for a 3/5 Mcgaughys kit....$95 for helper bags

total, you can have a finished drop with good quality for for under $700

wish mine was that cheap... Mine was just over $1000 but I also added sway bars.

You also have to add in QUALITY shocks...

You can get a 3/5 for $200 with just doing keys and springs. Not saying it's going to ride the best. Your camber might not be able to get aligned. And eventually you'll be purchasing the rest of the stuff you need to get it the good ride...

Ridin Solo, Here's my list and part numbers...

3/4 Ton Chevy Stock Torsion Keys in Front 1" to 3" Lower
AIR LIFT 1000 Series Rear Air Spring Helper Bag Kit #60769
Bilstein HD Rear Shocks #F4-BE5-6500-H0
Bilstein HD Rear Shocks #F4-BE5-6501-H0
Belltech 5" Rear Coil Springs #5305
Belltech Rear Shock Extenders #6651
DJM 3/4" Urethane Rear Bump Stops #10S
DJM Free Travel Mod
Eibach Front & Rear Sway Bars #3882.320
McGaughy's 2" Drop Spindles #33004

I tried putting part numbers beside each item. I pieced together everything from eBay or forums.

Above is the proper way to drop these trucks. Both my denali and nathan's esky ride 100x better than a budget 3/5 with keys and awful 5" coils. Helper bags are the only way to go
