I'm looking at getting some HIDs and I don't know s#!t about them.
I'm mostly looking for bulb sizes and wattage.

It is not very hard... Pick out the color scale that you want... White is 4300 purple starts at 6000. Find out what your bulbs are, whether H4, H2 or etc, then order the appropriate HID Bulbs. They are plug and play. The only thing you have to do is mount the ballast.

a 2000 yukon for the low beams will be 9006. IMO 5000K is perfect for people who want to see better, and add the cool HID look to the car, Most people who go over 6000k are just doing it for show and it doesn't show anything but blue and blue sucks for light Plus brings alot of attention from cops. I would also do 35W.

I have 6K and perfect light IMHO. Like RT mentioned, 9006, and 880's for fogs. 10 minute installation.
