On my 2007 tahoe, the dome light off switch circled in red doesn't have a backlight image when the dash lights are on. The fog light image circled in red does have a backlight and can be seen in the dark when the dash light are on. Is that right or do I have a switch with a burned out light?

thanks for the help.

Thanks!, wonder if I can buy just that part or do I have to replace the whole headlight switch?

You can put a new bulb in its not hard. Just pop open and solder the new one in and hell do an led mod while at it

I know you can do it but I would assume it would be very hard same reason people haven't done blue interior lighting its hard so I think a new switch but hey you could always experiment :hands:

It's to cancel the dome lights from coming on with the doors

takes 3 seconds, just pull it straight out. I kinda take 2 fingers and put them in the pocket and push down and out.

I see this is an old thread but did not find another one similar. My 07 Yukon seems to have similar issue...no backlighting on the headlamp/dome switch OR the transfer case selector. Bulb burned? But seems like the bulb is an integral part of the switch. Practically seems if I want the backlighting I need to replace the switches...correct? Other dash/instrument lights work as expected. The switches aren't too expensive...around $30 for each give or take. Curious if I am missing something. Appreciate any info...Mark
