HELP—2018 Yukon rear pads/rotors DESTROYED after dealer rotation

I had missed this quote, when Ceramic brakes are worked hard they wear extremely fast. They still work but wear out super quick.
Aggressive driving or racing pushes the Ceramics out of the normal temperature range where they like to work.
In normal driving the Ceramics often last 90,000 miles..

Semi Metalic brakes are the first step up if you want to work brakes hard.
These offer better braking while towing and are a step up towards performance

Carbon Metalics are the material used for Police Duty. I have run these for a few years. They provide great stopping power when needed. Negatives. On cold stops you need to push harder on the brake pedal to build heat to get them working. Not a lot harder but you will notice it at first as will new drivers to your rig. Carbon Metalics are also the hardest on your rotors, they will wear maybe 40% more than with Ceramics.

I have been thru them all semi metallic, carbon fiber, ceramic, ppv specific pads also, Ceramic last me the longest at around 1 1/2 years max.
they also make the least dust and are quiet. Carbon fiber are the worst in that regard. I could clean everything and 2 days later wheels covered in brake dust again
semi metallic last me about 1 year (max) and there done
while there may be some hail-mary alternative out there I just buy the premium ceramics from the auto parts store with lifetime warranty and I can wear them out willy-nilly at no extra cost, when they wear down I just take them back to the store and they give me new ones, no questions asked.
when you go to the dealer or a shop and pay for that $400+ brake job per axle, it's not lifetime...... that gets old real fast. Worst I have to pay is for rotors, those typically last me about 4 years

The new generation Ceramic materials are getting better, closer in quality to Semi Metallics. Look at any Porsche, Audi or Mercedes, they all use carbon metallics for the extra fast stopping and they all dust the wheels something terrible and eat rotors for lunch.

I have switched to mostly ceramics just to avoid that damn brake dust on my rims.
