Heater Issue

Ive got an 01 LT and i can only get heat in the car if i crank it up all the way to 82 anything below that its not exactly cold but its far from warm. Any thoughts?

Mine does that as well, that's why I always max it out passed 82 if I want it to get warmer, I think it thinks it is at 82 so it tries to cool down the truck to keep the temp!! Just a guess but you are not alone!

Same problem here. Getting tired of it and had the heater core replaced under warranty and it still does it.

GUYS, GET RID OF THE DEXCOOL!!


It clogs up the whole cooling system , especially the heater Core.

I changed From dexcool to the Regular Green in My 05 Tahoe, Heat was TWICE AS GOOD!!!

Be careful to flush entire system good, then refill with the good green stuff.

Trust me you will thank your self.
