My Benz has cooled seats but I haven't had occasion to use them yet. Its not possible to add cooled seats without running new ducting for your AC...with all the work involved you would be better off just buying a new truck. I believe you can do the cup holders but those suckers are pricey and have a high fail rate. IMO I wouldn't bother just use a remote start to get the AC flowing or move somewhere less hot.

There are plenty of people who are tearing the inside of their hoes apart to put dynamat on them. Not that huge of a chore. How hard can it be at that point to run some pre-fabbed factory ducting??? That whole "buying a new truck" thing is a little extreme.

Look I'm sure it can be done, its just not gonna be the simple swap that some people imagine it would be. Major work for a minor convience. If you love your truck and are dying for cooled seats I'd say go for it. But the fact is these trucks are falling out of date pretty quick as is. My Denali feels ancient compared to GMT900 trucks, as well as the German competition. I know I'm probably only keeping my truck for a couple more months before I jump to something new.

That is very true. I'll deal w/ new cars and old everyday working at auction and yeah its funny how just a 05 can feel old when looking at the 10 models. But oh well, i love my tahoe and i'll be keeping it, its paid for and nothing new wows me. So for now, keeping what i got.. but i see your point, not a easy swap, but cool factor none the less. Sure arent getting more for your the vehicle b/c of it, ive seen that.. lol...

well if anyone does get it done, love to see some pics of the progress.

Yeah I'd love to see someone do it for sure. Even after I sell my truck I'll keep coming back here because there are some really talented and creative people on here, so its always interesting. I think I am gonna get a new Grand Cherokee though once they start shipping '11s. I just don't need as much space.

If they even offer it. Right now it sounds like they are only going to offer the new "pentastar" v6 and the hemi. A diesel will surely be offered for export models but I doubt it will be offered in the US. Too bad because I'd love me a good diesel. Still wishing they'd offer the VW Toureg with the V10 again. Or the Audi Q7 V12 in the states.

I know the cupholders take a lot of work, but I always thought the cooled seats had a fan in them, and that you simply just connect the seat to the floorboard harness like you would any other. Sort of like if you install 2nd row heated seats when you previously didn't have it; as long as the harness is there you're good. Never thought it would tie in with the rear AC!

I learn something new everyday here.

a/c vents, whats different about the vents? Thought they were the same. Guessing maybe a chrome ring around them, like the speaker covers.???

yeah the platinums have a chrome strip in the middle of the vent. Looks better than the stock ones IMO. Here's a link to pics of the platinum vents:

I'm working on putting the escalade clock into my Denali console. Not as easy as i thought it would be but should look tight after its all finished. I'll post up some pics when i put everything back together. Last on the project list is the heated/cooled cupholders if i ever get them...hahhahaa

I have tried the seat mod. I have a set of escalade cooled and heated seats. There are no vent mods needed, the seats have built in fans. In order to do it there are 2 other things to know. First you need to buy the correct door panel that has the cooled and heated buttons, next and what I haven't been able to do s, reprogram the computer to recognize the airbag computers in the new seat and for the car to know it has heated cooled seats... If you don't reprogram you will get an airbag error and the memory seats will not work correctly... Good luck if you can get a dealer to figure out the programming let me know..,

I know this thread is old but has anyone figured out how to add the escalade heated and cooled seats into their 03+ Denali?
