hey wassup first time posting up on here just joined. I searched the forums for this but i couldn't find anything.

I got a 2004 Denali XL with heated seats but i want to have them cooled too. I know the 2005 Escalade Platinum Edition had cooled / heated seats AND the heated / cooled cup holders. I want to do both of these mods but i'm having hard time figuring out the part numbers off GMPartsdirect.com.

Do i need this? - Bezel Part #: 15254148 - what exactly is the bezel?

Do i need this? - Cup Part #: 15140858 - is this the cup holder?

I can't find the part number for the switches for the heated / cooled seats.

Any info would be greatly appreciated and if you got any pics of the install hook it up!

Thanks.

100% Correct, I think you need the special seats with "mesh" in them so the air can travel thru the seats freely, my step-dad has a new F-150 with Cooled seats, and that is how they work.

My Benz has cooled seats but I haven't had occasion to use them yet. Its not possible to add cooled seats without running new ducting for your AC...with all the work involved you would be better off just buying a new truck. I believe you can do the cup holders but those suckers are pricey and have a high fail rate. IMO I wouldn't bother just use a remote start to get the AC flowing or move somewhere less hot.

Just wondered if you ever figured out the heated and cooled cup holders or seats? I have the cupholder out of the platinum ed. caddy and its not really important, but its something cool i would love to put in my tahoe. The seats also. Does anyone think you could just switch seats or is there alot more involved to do that... B/c i know the cup holder has addition 3 wires for the heated/cooled cup holders that mine or a denali doesnt have.. power, ground, and something else..

Ahem, I repeat can't be done without runing new ducts for your AC. The seats would not be cheap or easy. The cup holders I believe are do-able but also pricey. Major cost minor convience. If you really would like cooled seats time to trade in.

Yeah i saw your post. But i have all the items for free and dont mind running ducts. I like mine to be different and im not buying a 50k car for cooled seats, thats insane, id just do what you said and get remote start and bam..
But thats why i ask if its hard to do or not. Maybe someone has done this already. So price isnt the problem on either, but i may just do the cup holders, its the cool little things that make a difference to me.. And i dont believe in the word "cant" when it comes to modding a car.. Thats the point customizing isnt easy..

(not mad talking, just saying how i am) i apprecaite the info on the ducts though, i didnt know they had that, thought it may have just been something in the seats themselves built already and just needed to be wired in..

i've been checking the junkyards for a platinum edition escalade but there's nothing. The correct part number for the cupholders is GM 15254148. it costs about $500.00 brand new off GMpartsdirect.com...hella expensive but a cool mod to add to a truck that's not the platinum edition. The heated/cooled seats i think are two different types. Some are cooled with the A/C ducts while others run off fans.

I think the seats would involve a lot of work but the cupholders are a bit easier. Here's a link that explains how to wire the cupholders http://www.cadillacforums.com/forum...88081-diy-how-add-platinum-heated-cooled.html

If anyone is interested in selling the platinum edition cupholders (2005-2006 model) i'd buy them if the price is reasonable.

Mike are you interested in selling your platinum cupholders? hahaha

As this time, i might just do it. B/c i dont really want to change to the escalade center, or the denali center. I dont really care for the door open and close thing. ha ha...

but i'll let you know if i do..
