After doing some searching on this forum and Z71, I couldn't find any specifics on which year silverado hoods would fit my tahoe. So could anyone tell me what year silverado 2500 hood will fit my 03 tahoe? Will the 01-02 2500 HD hoods fit be a direct fit?

thanks for any help

i just picked one up for 175 off craigslist, got a few knicks from rocks over the years, but its same color as my truck and no dents and its straight, now all i gotta do is clean it and put it on, lol

i've heard its better to stay OEM rather than go thru like certifit for the hood, but i'm not exactly sure why

From what I have seen Certifit hoods are very flimsy. Now that's on other makes/models but I'm sure that one would be the same.

How much work do you need to do to make it fit on a Yukon

Trim for the headlights and "U" slot the hinge holes so you can pull forward to meet up with grille.

the holes that mount the hood to the hinge need to be ovaled out to allow the hood to be pulled forward towards the front of the truck to get rid of a gap

I dono bout you, but I personally don't have the ability or tools to cut out that cuve and make it match on both sides and look good.

03Dnasty...sick truck. I dig the black on black, and nice tires! Love the trail grapplers more so than the terras

Too bad it's not a direct fit on the yukons. I think the HD hood really sets it off. Not sure why I waited so long to get one, but now that my paint is chipping on the OEM hood, I figured now would be a good time as any to replace it.
