Just picked up a white 03 Tahoe 5.3 2wd a few hours ago.

I want to say thank you very much for the good articles, and for salvaging what was good from 'the other place' and putting it up for people like me to find.

Not much to do to this Tahoe, It has nearly every option except factory DVD (has aftermarket) and 2nd row captains/ quad seating/ pass-thru seating.

In any case, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone. I'll try to post some pics later but it already got rained on and driven in the rain... so it is filthy after only 4 hours.

not a fan of the PO's 'el cheap-o' 22's but since they are already on the truck, they'll stay for a while. They really need to be dechromed and painted white or a satin black, or just replaced with some OEM 20's or Escalade 18s.

Spent the weekend completely rewiring the <sarcasm> totally professional </sarcasm> $1 install video system, found the disconnected hose for the rear washer (thanks again TYF!) and tried buffing out/ salvaging the tails.
Need to find the cupholder insert for the 3rd seat left side still but...

Everything seems to work now except the apparently common parking brake failure, and ironically the illumination for the dimmer switch itself. :)

Really enjoying the forum... Thanks again. I hope I can return the favor one day.
