Anyone ever buy from this site? If you haven’t, don’t. Their policies are crap. They sent two incorrect rotors, guess who pays shipping to return their mistake? I do. They never sent my two sets of brake pads. Are they sympathetic and fix the issue? No. Apparently they are doing inventory?!? So whether they are allowed to rip me off depends on their inventory. We’re talking $750 worth of parts and $750 of cash they have of mine. I had to have the dealership use their pads and rotors!

Avoid this site for OEM parts. They have cheap prices, but their service is the absolute worst, their reliability is the worst, customer service is the worst. I’m spreading the word everywhere to help save you time, money, and headaches.

Did you pay via a credit card? If so, dispute the charges with your credit card issuer.

I did. I don’t know if I can dispute the shipping. I paid shipping to get the rotors, now I have to pay to ship them back and I’m upset that I have wait while they do inventory…what kind of business does that?

Yes, I ran into the same issue with GMPartsGiant.com, and I will never use them again. It took a letter to the General Manager of the company managing the fulfillment of the online parts order to get a refund and an apology (I had already documented every single communication that I had with them, before contacting the General Manager).

On the other hand, I've had great success with GMPartsDirect.com, with several online orders with them.

You can do better than that...If they sent the incorrect parts, and refuse to make it right for no charge, you can keep the rotors and dispute the entire charge and they will eat it all...assuming your CC company is good.

They have a duty to perform, and they didn't uphold their end of the bargain. So, my suggestion is:
1) e-mail them and politely explain the situation again, and request the ship the correct rotors, and a prepaid shipping label with those rotors to return the bad ones. (they will refuse, based on what you said).
2) Respond and say that you think this is the only fair solution, and tell them if they do not comply, you will file a dispute w/ your CC to have the charge reversed.
3) Wait a reasonable amount of time for a response 3-4 business days if this doesn't move them to act, you are set; if it does, you are set.
4) If they still refuse, open a dispute w/ your cc company, and use this as evidence of their failure to perform.

I did all of that today. I requested a refund for everything minus the two front rotors which were correct and installed. I’ll let the credit card company finish this one. I’ve wasted enough time with this company

For future reference you can always ask our own in-house GM parts rep @915_Tahoe to help with parts number lookup.

The part numbers were correct. The items in the boxes, did not fit. The dealership said the rotors were off by just enough so they didn’t fit.

Their service is not unlike a large government bureaucracy. I learned to make smaller orders and not to set my expectations too high. Same with RockAuto.

GMPartsDirect's service center stayed open late one night to finish repairing my truck when the dealer brought it to them for repair as I was purchasing it.

Never been cheated, always got my refunds back.

My expectations were to get what I ordered. That’s not asking to much…

People make mistakes but it was wrong to ask you to ship the wrong parts back without reimbursement. I do remember it taking some time to receive a credit or refund, maybe 2-3 weeks.
A mistake, ok, but incorrect rotors and NO brake pads. That’s more than a little mistake, but my issues were with the customer service and return/refund issue. Poor service like that is a decision. They don’t care about customers, only the cash. If they can screw a few customers, that’s fine, as long as they get their money and don’t have to give it back. I’m going to the BBB next to spread the word even more. Whatever I can do to share my experience so others can learn from it before ordering. They need to be out of business. Shady as F***.

Your anger is with a company whose principal people that wronged you might not even be there anymore. Lazy and dishonest employees don't often keep good records, something to consider when the company is slow to respond to you.

I can think of better ways to spend my time and energy than on a vendetta against a car company.
