Mods: if you wish to merge some of these threads please do.

Thought I would put some of my threads on our Envoy XL here.

We picked this up in 2011 for $4200.00 with 135k on it. It has served us well with only regular maintenance, repairs and tires. Had some flakey transfer case issues that I resolved with a used TCCM from a 2004 and a new shift motor. A new Cat Converter and some coils.

She now has 261k and is in need if struts again so we are fixing it up.

Threads:

I wanna do same work as you done with my car!

This thing has all the old calibrations in it for all the modules. Several that are for idle, startup and shifting. I can’t get it to take a re-flash just like in the thread above. I want to try that but am afraid.

Now that the Saturn is dead kiddo is driving this. She has ideas to take it on a 150 mile one way trip to visit family a little earlier than Heidi and I are going.

While it is still a solid runner it’s really just an around town beater that hasn’t been on more than a 20mile trip in 6 years. I have done little more than the bare minimum maintenance on it because I always intended on sending it down the road. I don’t trust it and all the old hoses, radiator and transmission lines. Plus the rear axle whines a bit. I don’t think I wanna be dealing with towing it home from 75 miles away on fourth of July weekend…

Well, It’s the end of an era. We let this one go down the road last night. After 14 years of ownership and 100,000 miles our $4,300.00 Envoy found a new home. Got $1,100 cash for her and she’s gone. Was a very reliable SUV and was sold with 277k on the odo.
