Her buying this vehicle had me learn a whole lot of repair jobs like : hub assembly with bearings, cv axle, brake caliper changes, and a whole mess of drivetrain related problems. I am not a mechanic just had to learn quickly from watching videos online lol

Ok this is my wife’s vehicle and I am the one who has to constantly repair it. The cooling line was leaking slowly so we purchased a new line. Made an appointment to get ok tire to change the line. Apon driving it home from the shop it was slipping and hard shifting, so I pulled over and checked the fluid level was way overfull ! So I informed my wife about this and she said well I need my vehicle and continues using it even though it’s slipping .
Do you know the proper way to check the transmission fluid?

Yes when cold there’s a indicator and when hot running there’s a cross section that should show when full with a hot transmission it was way over that full line by about 3” past that full marker I am not stupid have been working on vehicles a while now !

Didn't say you were, but did you have the engine running while checking? Two or three inches over is what it would look like with the engine off.

So like a spray bottle will work? with a long tube connected to it I’m thinking ?
If you are talking about using a water spray bottle top with an extension, that thick fluid is not gonna spray thru that water tip, but I like the idea. better have some really strong hands for all that lever squeezing.

Warm meaning engine operating temp or engine ran a couple minutes? The engine should be at operating temp of at least 180-190 degrees, better at close to 210.

what does the paperwork from the shop say?
something to the effect of topped off fluid?
or did they charge you for x-xx quarts of fluid?
changing the cooler line would likely result in very little fluid loss. since almost all the fluid is in the transmission when it is off

Get a fluid transfer pump to take some fluid out but the damage has already been done from the sounds of it.

Also who in their right mind names themselves ok tire? I wouldn't be getting any services done by a place with ok in their name unless I was in Oklahoma.

When dropped off the fluid level was in the middle off the cross sectioned full level indicator. The vehicle was warm driving on the highway when I pulled over to check the level “ with it still running” and was still over full, wiped it off did it 2 more times indicated way over the full indicator

Sounds like OK Tire only hires OK techs that say everything they do is OK when they are done.

Might look for another shop that is more than OK.
