G5 Tails issue

I ordered G5 tails thinking they were plug&play and I go to put them in and they're not. What's up with that? They have a single purple harness plug on the back.

Why? Aren't the G5's supposed to be exact replica's for the Tahoe/suburban & yukon?

That's what I ordered, the listing said they were compatible with 07+ tahoe suburban and yukon without any modification.

No is that how they hook up?
This is the plug the lights have

Disconnect there

I just plugged my g5's into my 2011 a month ago. Directly plug and play. G4 is rounded and fits the stock Tahoe and Yukon applique. G5 is just a replica Esky tail... It should just plug right in. Harness clip is under the rear bumper

Thanks guys, I've only had the truck 8 days and I didn't look into it deep enough I guess.
I know about the G4's I just like the 5's more & I'm getting the esky appliqué's soon.
