Driving a 98 chevy tahoe 4dr, coming home today I was cut off, and as i gave it some gas to go around i didnt have any power. The rpms didnt jump and the hoe didnt pull untill i let off the gas slightly. I had a quater of a tank left so i wasnt out of gas. Im thinking its the fuel pump, or filter but want a second opinion before i start spending money i dont have to. Any help would be nice.

My 97 was acting kinda like that but never popped a code until I left it in second gear and ran it above 3k RPM, and then it finally popped a code and it was an oxygen sensor.

Replaced the fuel filter yesterday. Didnt want to start before i went to work. I eventually got it started. Pulled into the parking lot at work and the truck just died. Threw a code for the fuel pump. Turned the key and noticed that the fuel pump didnt make any noise so im gonna check the fuses and relays before i go droping the tank.
