Yep, I too will put it on my list of things to do. 4800+ hrs and 160k miles, no mx history, and we use the vehicle mainly to drive back and forth between homes 1000 miles apart out west. I break down would not be fun.

I cut an opening on the floor board and glad I did.
I'm going to drop the tank old school in the next week or so. The hardest part of the job so far seems to be deciding which AC Delco pump to purchase. Going to drive the truck until the Low Fuel light comes on and then 'Project Pump' will be under way.

Don't cheap out, get the OEM fuel pump. I bought two after market fuel pumps and they went out within a year.
I bit the bullet and went with the OEM pump for the 3rd time, 2yrs later and still going strong.
What OE Pump did you go with ? P/N ?

Even at 1/4 tank or more you can pull the filler hose off, stick a hose in the tank and siphon fuel into a can, and put it in another vehicle. I removed 10 gallons this way. But if you can keep driving it that works too. I removed everything and held onto (2) 3-gallon cans to add back in when I was done. Tank was super light and that made it easy to clean out too.

Plus the truck (00 Yukon) is a 'life long' Texas Truck that I got last Sept so its all original and rust free. Good thing is I can take my time and have a back-up driver to get other parts if needed.

Car is on the hook, going over to the local repair shop. No fuel pressure. Pretty close to 4000 hours on the motor. The previous owner was a limo company, and idled the truck for 100's of hours at the airport.

Only 80,000 miles, but 4,000 hours... fuel pumps only last so long...

I knew there would be problems buying a truck with such high hours... but 1st time it left me stranded...
buy a toyota fuel pump last the life of the car/truck

According to the math your vehicle has averaged nearly 89 mph over its lifetime. SLOW DOWN!!! HOLY CRAP!

Hella highway miles. Down south living lol but I rarely go over 80 so previous owner must have been gunning it I guess?

I think something is incorrect because there’s no way it AVERAGED 90, that means either he drove at 120 on the highway to make up for the time it idled or drive in town or the hour meter was reset.

I agree. I did a lot of highway driving and traveling but rarely touched 90. Can it be reset by itself? I did have a AFM delete tune around 130-150k miles. I wonder if that could be related?

I’m not sure where it’s stored or how to reset it. Have you had your cluster or BCM replaced?

Not since my ownership at 120k miles. I did not see any history regarding a replacement neither. The mileage at purchase was considered high (2011 w/ 120k miles @ October 2016). Still a chance previous owner was flying? LOL

OK, My 2009 Yukon Denali finally needs to be replaced. Using AC DELCO MU2139 assembly and sender. 179k miles and it's finally started to stall on occasion. Have you all also replaced the fuel filter? For 11 years, I've only tanked it with Chevron fuel with the occasional Flex Fuel when prices went over >$4.00/gal here in Los Angeles

On a 2009 the fuel filter is part of the fuel pump assembly in the tank. Your assembly will come with the filter attached, it’s a sock that’s attached to the bucket.

So,,, which fuel pump do you guys think is "better" ??
AC Delco MU2135 OR
Delphi FG1055
This is for my 14 6.2L FlexFuel
Delco is about $30 cheaper... but I want the best.
Unless anyone has used a better aftermarket "pump" portion
in the assembly... I wouldn't mind extra flow as I am supercharged

Rock Auto says the AC Delco is original equipment; I'd probably go for that one. It doesn't seem like the crossreferenced model number are the same between the two; not sure why.
