Found the limits of my 4WD Denali with all season tires in snow

OK, so I took some heat for loosely using the term AWD with my 2017 Denali. Well, we were up in the snow again the other day, and guess what my DIC said when I selected Auto? Purists: have at it.

More like AUTO WHEEL DRIVE....

True all wheel drive is when all wheels are moving the vehicle at once, these trucks simply ‘lock the hubs’ until the computer deems it necessary to send power to front..

I’m familiar with AWD vs 4WD. I just thought it was funny my DIC said AWD when in Auto. To me, Auto is sort of an AWD lite.
