You see there is always something to do. Make something up to clean or paint....even if it not a big mod. :Big Laugh:

yeah I will be touching up all the undercarriage soon. but every time I think im going to get a chance the weather decides I cant lol. this spring I will finally be doing the rear disk conversion (parts are laying in garage floor now) the drums are a joke!

Got under the truck and did a little rattle can touch up on some of the surface rust spots. Looks much better. Still have some more spots to go, but all in good time.

I had not put my spare tire back up under the truck since I took it off a few weeks ago when I removed my hitch. I gave it a quick shot of rattle can black before lifting it back up, however I forgot how the hoist came down and encountered the secondary safety latch that I had to refer to YouTube to figure out. Doh! Channel locks and a squeeze and it comes down, but it is not obvious if you did not know in advance. smh.....

The assembly is still in great shape, but I soaked it in WD-40 anyways and brought it back up. Looks better without the spare tire under the rear bumper, but worth the piece of mind to have a spare under there, especially as I picked up a screw in my rear tire 2 weeks ago that thankfully did not completely cause the tire to go flat before I got it to the tire shop to fix it. It is only the OEM 16", but better than nothing.

Here are some pics of the frame and the spare tire hoist in case you needed some reference.

Looks good man good job. I left the hitch on mine because it was so low made it hard to get under the rear end with a jack so I always used the hitch to jack it up. Made life a lot better lol

I know it doesn't look as nice, but drawing the line between form and function on this one....hmmm...will think about it.

Thx man. Have some more to do behind the wheels, but be best to take them off to really clean up and paint the suspension components. You can really see them thru the TBSS spokes. But it will look really nice when I do get it sorted out.

Yeah you had me by about another 1-2 inches +/- so I could see where the hitch came in handy. I can just slide under the middle of the truck, but can barely turn my head. Was just enough to rattle can the frame with a vapor mask and escape with a few misty drops of black where the mask did not cover. However, without the hitch looks so much better. The tire as mentioned above is a toss up. Had it on/off/on. Hmm...

@Travieso because racetruck. I carry an NNBS Denali 20" as my spare and just used it a few weeks ago when one of my Esky wheels decided to explode. Did what I had to do, came home and swapped them out for my 375s.

Wow that is a nice looking tahoe. Those spyder taillights are the next thing on my list after seeing how good they look on your truck and dont scream aftermarket.

I installed the Fleece Performance Engineering GM All Lights On Module.
$20.95 for the module. Totaled out at $24.96 and shipped really fast.

There are plenty of pics and a great write up on jdbper's thread noted here.

Here are a few pics of my install and what might be the easiest and cheapest cost-per-dollar-to-time installed ratio mod you can do with instant and really cool results. Simple plug and play. (Will only fit 03+ models and up. As of March 2016, the company does not intend to make this for the 99-02 models).

I picked up a $4.59 packet of blue LEDs for the interior off eBay just to see what it would look like. Good price for 8 pieces and a nice change. Kind of like the change from white.

(42mm festoons for the domes and T10/194 base for the maps)

Yeah man, I know you emailed the company and they said no to the 99-02 models. I made a note in my thread just to remind guys.

Haha...I knew this question would arise. Not sure at the moment, but it would certainly set off the front end.

Well I mean it's like "what else is there to do..." :D

Go ahead and get you some Depo's and do it yourself. Learn from it!
