Came in to see what all the commotion was about and it took me to the first post of your build thread where i seen something about the onstar antenna delete, started looking and wow man I had NO idea how much work you have done to this thing, on a whole other level, i believe u set a pretty high standard when it comes to what other members should want for their nbs.

Yeah, I wish my truck could look half as nice as his.

Lovin that grille insert! By far makes your front end stand out and it looks killer! Spot on man!!

Thx man.

The inserts look nice. It's definitely a big change but I think it helps dress it up a bit. I have the same ones except that mine are chrome finish. I like the looks of the polished finish better though I believe. Unfortunately mine have developed some rust on them and some of the chrome is flaking off so I'm going to look into refinishing/painting them some way if possible. If not I'll probably order a set like yours.

Thx man. Your paint job still is one of my favorites. No mistaking it.

Looks great brother, I had a similar grille a few years back on my old Denali...I know you're down in FLA and you don't have to deal with snow and salt which wound up being the demise of my grille(rust) but make sure you keep it extra clean...rain/sun will be your biggest nemesis

Thx man. No salt from the roads thankfully and I do not envy any of you guys with salt on the roads. The constant salty sea breeze still needs to be addressed, which I will gladly take so still have to be mindful of corrosion. UV is a big killer though, hence the reason I wash and detail my trucks as much as I can and have covers for both of them to try and keep the paint in as good a condition as possible.

Love that exhaust tip! You have steering wheel controls and DIC on this thing? Had everything for 6 years now debating on selling or installing. Stupid mileage place wants $100 to program new cluster mileage...

See in my build thread here. I just had the steering wheel controls replaced with blue LEDs. Yes mine has the DIC.

Bugged me for a long time. I just didn't want to deal with those bottom buttons and they are every bit as stubborn as is noted.

Yeah I think the blue controls add a nice touch and goes with the rest of the blue interior LEDs as well.

Replaced CHMSL/3rd Brake Light.

Hit 76000 miles today.

Received build sheets for both the NBS and NNBS today.

About 13 months ago, I replaced my CHMSL with a Dorman LED light ordered from Amazon Prime.

Then I find out that the light is out again. After a few posts on the NBS thread and some trial and error, it turns out that the light itself appears to be the culprit, so I ordered another one to replace the dead one.

The 10amp fuse by the drivers side had blown and kept blowing when I plugged the light in. Even though it would not illuminate.

I had all the tail light functions with or without the CHMSL plugged in and I metered 12 volts at the plug.

I pulled the grommet and the wires out as far as I could, but was not able to find any indications of water intrusion, corrosion or chafing that might point to a grounding issue in that location.

The Dorman light comes with a replacement harness, but I wasn't entirely happy with the grommet fitment, so I left the OEM harness in place as there didn't appear to be anything wrong with it.

I installed the new CHMSL and am back in business again. Hopefully this light lasts longer than the previous one.

I took her for a spin to Home Depot today as it was sprinkler repair day and hit 76000 miles on the way.

I also received the build sheets for both the NBS and NNBS from GM Customer Service. (Just send a PM to them with your VIN and email.)

And some pics.
