Fold down panels on 2nd row & fabric behind third row

Hi all - great looking forum.

I'm hoping you can help me. I have a 2006 XL. The material on the back of the 3rd row bench has unattached itself from the bottom of the seat. Any advice or experience on how to reattach? There is a long plastic piece attached to it. Just can't figure out how it attaches.

Secondly I have captains chairs in the 2nd row for the same vehicle. What are the small fold down panels for on the backs of the seats?

I appreciate any help you can provide.

The palstic strips just lock into one another under the seat back were the seat folds. Line them up and squeeze.

the fold downs are to make a flat floor when 3rd row is absence.

I leave mine folded out to help the 2 yr old enter her car seat.
