Fog alternatives

Anyone retrofit something other than the factory fogs in s 2013 tahoe?

Need to get some additional light for night driving and would like to see what you have done.

I went with off road lights behind the grill. Looking into the led roof light bar as well.

I was thinking of doing some different housings and use Hids , not sure which ones yet. Or a sealed led light. Like an off road led light behind the bumper in the hole.

I just put these led's in:

They use ballasts and give lots of extra light output.

Felix, do you get enough light concentrated down low on the road or does it reflect out in front of the truck? I like the downfiring LED lights but not sure the reflector bowl is the right solution. Thanks.

A whole lot of light is concentrated down low but I do get some light above my projector HID cut off. Overall really helps me drive down dark country roads. Really worth the 80-90 I spent on the pair.

Yea the reflector bowl was built for an incandescent bulb I agree. Only other option id do on fogs is get a mini projector retrofitted in the factory fog housing and run 25w ballasts.

Yes definitely worth it. I'm always on dark high ways and country roads with no lights and I need every bit of light I can get. My headlights have HID projectors with 35w Morimoto ballasts so that with these led fogs I'm finally happy with the amount of light output im getting.

Bought em almost a year ago I can try and search and get back to you. Pulled up a quick search on eBay these are the ones I have. Might be dif seller but this is exact packaging and set up I got;

Appreciate the link Felix. Trying to become a balla like you, but I got to take baby steps....lol. Start out with fogs then work my way up to a retro. I know that is ass backwards but hey it is what it is...
