I was wondering if you were able to turn off the fuel composition sensor (aka: flex fuel sensor) on my yukon if I get a retune? My truck has code p0178 showing up and for me to replace that sensor its going to cost about $600. I have yet to see a E85 gas station where I live, so I'll be fine with not having the ability of running E85.
There is a flex fuel replicator I've seen and read about for $150 but if you're able to delete that sensor for me on a free retune, I'll go that route. :Handshake:

Yes, we can turn it off. For what it is worth, we just bought two of those sensors for $125 each from junkyards.

What does turning the sensor off entail. I have had the sensor trouble for some time and don't want to pay up for the the $600 repair

We can disable the flex fuel capability as well as the trouble codes for it.
