First off I am a newbie. I just made a profile. I look forward using and contributing to this forum when I can. I did not search for this answer as I am using my phone and reception is limited.
We bought a 2005 Yukon XL about 2 months ago. We are on a road trip now and I am concerned about the system voltage level. It is running around 12.8 going down the interstate . It does go up to to 14.4 when I turn the heated seats on. Does this system run on demand? Normally I am used to a vehicle running always at 14+ when the engine is on. Just want to check cause we are 400 miles from home and I got my wife and 4 month old son along. Was wondering if I need to find a partaking store and put a alternator or regulator in.
Thanks
