Factory SUB

i havent done much research on here, well cause im being lazy, and was wondering, since the stock BOSE sub is, well crappy (so ive heard - ha no pun intended) if there is something out there that i could replace it with.

I dont want any boxes or custom this or that, just want a simple swap out with what is currently there to something better.

Any thoughts?

add a seperate amp and bigger sub in back. I think factory center sub is only like a 6"...

If you want to replace the sub using the stock enclosure, the 00-02 models used an 8" sub with a mounting depth of about 5" in the left rear quarter. 03+ models use a 6" sub underneath the forward section of the center console.

The factory Bose sub is underneath the center console. JL makes a Stealthbox that replaces the Bose sub and sounds much better from the reviews I've read. And no lost space.

do all of the Bose setups in 03's have the sub under the console? I didnt even know they had a sub to begin with.

I didnt know that my Tahoe had a sub either. I have a 2007 with the Bose system in it.

haha, i knew it had a sub, but had no idea it was under the center console!!

it's pointing semi towards the firewall, under the console in 03 and up.
