got a question about adding factory navigation head unit to a denali without nav, first off, can it be done?? and does anyone sell a complete kit of whats needed? and what is needed to do the entire install? this was the one option that my new purchase didnt have that i wanted...

it will only work to your satisfaction if you already have Bose or can install it in a factory setup. I did the same in my 08 Tahoe and without Bose the chimes and OnStar are so low you can barely hear them. The radio volume never really gets loud enough, about 1/3 of what it could do with Bose or with a totally non-Bose setup.

I did it in my 07 Yukon without Bose. But, I also installed a complete Memphis system. Pavemen is correct, you will not have much sound. The factory NAV unit will plug right in without any extra wires. Though, you have to go to a dealer and have them remove the THEFT LOCK to make it work (1 hr labor $50-100). You also need a NAV CD (bought mine on Ebay new for $120) and you will need an OE NAV antennae ($75 at dealer).
