Hi guys,
When I bought my 2007 GMC Yukon 1500 XL, it did not take any gas at the gas station. After some researches I found it is usual problem for these cars.
Since I make huge restoration, I bought new canister, purge valve and vent valve. I though I am all set.
I dropped the tank last week and I discovered there was intervention made here in Bulgaria. Fuel and vent plastic hoses were replaced with rubber hoses. The fuel line from fuel pump to the engine was all cracked. The vent hose from fuel pump to vent tee was pressed between tank and frame and most probably completely closed.
Here are pictures of it:
I ordered new GM OEM fuel line from pump to the engine.
I have some plastic line from old vent valve.
My questions are:
1. Are these connectors OK for fuel pump vent?
2. Can I form the shape of the pipe with hot air gun or it would damage the plastic?
Thanks for your help!
Ivo
