I have been borrowing an Escalade IQ from the dealership while my ICE Escalade has been in the shop. It is so fast and reaches high speeds effortlessly. My only struggle with the vehicle is that since I don’t have a home charger setup I have to pay to charge it. Which cost me about the same as gas would cost.

If anyone has any questions about the IQ I can try to answer them. The ride does seem softer than the ICE version. That is with 24 inch rims. It has a v mode as well which gives it 750hp. It is so quick for a 9000lb vehicle.

I drove a Hummer EV pickup back when they first came out as I love the look (and Hummers). The ride is absolutely amazing for how big they are and I think a lot has to do with the mega-air shocks on them.

They really needed to do both as a plug-in hybrid or incorporate a range extender like the new RamCharger. The price point I think is/was too steep given the limited functionality of EVs for major roadtripping + their depreciation curve.

Haven’t had a chance to drive the Hummer yet, I think they sit on the same platform though. I agree, the price point is an issue. It is about 20k more than my Escalade. So the savings in gas is pretty much gone. I definitely wouldn’t want to use it for a long roadtrip because I feel I would have to map out the trip based on where to charge at.

I drove a First Edition Hummer and it was amazing. But really, how much speed do you need every day? Yea it's a lot of fun but most of my driving is a relaxed ride or sitting at a stoplight. Expensive toy really. New they were around $114k. The one I drove was used but only a very few miles on it. They were asking $250k. Now that would have been a good flip.

My question is is there any option for plugging in to 110v outlet for charging?

Range on full charge?

How much of a charge do you get at the pay charging station can you get 100% if you are almost done?

How long does it take to charge to 100% if you are down 3/4?

Level 2 charging at home it’s important when owning an EV. We own an i7 and i5 and we will never go back to gas. We’ve taken numerous road trips in our EVs and have never had an issue with charging. The only time we use DC fast charging is on a road trip which isn’t very often. Charging at home is cheaper than going to the gas station. We have an IQL on order and should have it some time in August. I test drive an IQ and ICE Escalade back to back and fell in love with the IQ that I canceled my Escalade order and ordered the IQL!!
