I just installed my my new (used) escalade roof rack. When i got to the cross rails, i noticed that they had different finishes on them and they were different sizes. The narrower one slides right on, no problem. The wider one is a good two inches wider. Is this correct, or are the two rails suppose to be the same size?

I am wondering if the longer one is either for an ESV rack, or a Z71 rack?

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Hmm I had no idea they were two different sizes. I'll look on my escalade and report back.

They should be the same size cuz just in theory the roof rack would have to be crooked for that to work. The rails are parallel and the cross bars would be square to that....I think you got one wrong rail......

Yeah, that is what I was thinking. I bought them off of ebay. The seller said that it came with all mounting hardware and cross rails.

It was missing 2 bolts, the clips that hold down the middle of the rack, and 1 wrong cross rail. Suddenly my good deal doesn't seem so good.
