I have a 2006 Buick Lucerne. I like how the battery is located in the cabin... I get 5+ years out of most batteries, however, is a ROYAL PITA to get a battery for it as it takes a longer, Group 79 battery. When I find them they also cost much more. I'd just put a standard group 78 battery but then the vent tube is a mess if it fits at all.

Curious, I'm sure there's a vehicle out there that has a Group 78 battery in the cabin. I'd like to buy the vent tube from that and replace the group 79 vent tube in my car. Anybody know where I could buy a Group 78 battery in cabin vent tube?

This is the one my vehicle takes:

I need same thing but a couple inches narrower.

Wonder if you couldn't modify the Dorman one you linked, by removing the hoses from the connectors and shortening the hoses. Or cutting the hoses shorter and using a barbed hose splice.
