Pics of the truck, please.

In the meantime, this is an alternate way to pull an engine. LOL

You make it sound like people on here are amateurs, I am very well qualified, have been doing fleet work for 25 years specializing in heavy diesel trucks, that's why I don't have a lift here. I have yet to assess the work involved in removing this engine, was just asking for anyone who has already removed one what I can expect. I feel insulted by your response. I have pulled plenty of engines and am very knowledgeable and capable and have all the necessary tools.

Welcome to the forum. Lot's of guys are very knowledgeable here and willing to help.

Please don't feel insulted, because the guys responding don't know your skills and experience (which sound impressive BTW). A lot of guys joining and asking questions are complete newbies when it comes to automotive work. I know I was. But reading and asking questions is how a lot of us guys learn.

Anyways, I have not done a 2015+, but figured it wouldn't be too much different than a longitudinal mounted drivetrain. Is your truck a 2wd or 4x4? The top bellhousing bolts are the most challenging in my experience.

Thanks, its a 4X4 I'm sure i can get the top bellhousing bolts from top after removing the intake, done many that way, I dont think I will encounter any major difficulties, just seeking knowledge from members who might have done one, knowledge is power, the more you know the easier it is to do.

You asked for "tips" and I gave you one. Perhaps, next time, post your qualifications/experience ahead of time. Oh, also, have some thicker skin. At 73 years old and 40+ years in the shops, I grew thick skin a long time ago and never get insulted.

No lift. Take the grill apart, it's just a bunch of busy work. I chose not to remove the ac condenser. I wish I would have. It couldn't really be moved out of the way, so I had to work around it. If I had that part to do over, I'd open the ac loop and remove it.
