Welcome to the forum. Lot's of guys are very knowledgeable here and willing to help. You make it sound like people on here are amateurs, I am very well qualified, have been doing fleet work for 25 years specializing in heavy diesel trucks, that's why I don't have a lift here. I have yet to assess the work involved in removing this engine, was just asking for anyone who has already removed one what I can expect. I feel insulted by your response. I have pulled plenty of engines and am very knowledgeable and capable and have all the necessary tools.
You asked for "tips" and I gave you one. Perhaps, next time, post your qualifications/experience ahead of time. Oh, also, have some thicker skin. At 73 years old and 40+ years in the shops, I grew thick skin a long time ago and never get insulted. You make it sound like people on here are amateurs, I am very well qualified, have been doing fleet work for 25 years specializing in heavy diesel trucks, that's why I don't have a lift here. No lift. Take the grill apart, it's just a bunch of busy work. I chose not to remove the ac condenser. I wish I would have. It couldn't really be moved out of the way, so I had to work around it. If I had that part to do over, I'd open the ac loop and remove it.You make it sound like people on here are amateurs, I am very well qualified, have been doing fleet work for 25 years specializing in heavy diesel trucks, that's why I don't have a lift here. Those are really hard to deal with if the heads and intake are still on the motor. The top bellhousing bolts are the most challenging in my experience.
