Engine oil life indicator--reliable?

i had a 13 yukon with the 5.3L. I always used the oil change monitor to determine my oil changes.
I changed oil when change oil light came on. I drove that 300,000 km without an engine problem and it's still on the road.
I would trust it

First award is for 322,000km = 200,000miles
I'd go BEYOND blindly trusting it.
Changing your oil BEFORE the Oil Life Monitor reaches 0% would increase your chances of reaching 402,400km.
