hello everyone, so here goes. 2020 Tahoe RST with 51K miles. Drove to Florida from Long Island, NY 3 weeks Ago flawlessly. I left Florida yesterday morning to come back home, on day 2 of the trip this happens:
At about 12 noon driving North on I 95, Exit 61B in Chester,Va, I decide my dog needs some fresh air, I’d get lunch and fill up the tank ( I had1/2 tank of premium) I pull into the BP gas station, shut the car off and gas up 93 octane. After I fill up,I turn the truck on and I immediately feel shaking from the engine and my check engine light starts to flash.

I say a couple of choice words and shut the truck down. I opened the hood, check oil, transmission and radiator tank fluids. Everything checks good.

I look Up and across the street, like a mirage in the desert and its CSM Chevrolet dealership. I turn the truck on a drive super slow about 300 ft. I speak to the Service Manager who sees my plight with an 84 lb barking Golden Retriever as I am covered in sweat since I was afraid to turn on the A/C.

Super attentive, they gave the dog water, treats and they checked the truck immediately and discovered the following codes: P0206 - cylinder 6 injector control circuit, p0300 - engine misfire detected, P0306 - cylinder 6 misfire detected. They told me that because of the amount of cars 2021 - 2025 being bought in for Recall, they could not look into it until tomorrow morning.

So here I was stranded but the service manager called one guy and they offered to take me to a hotel, wait until I checked in with my dog and would pick me up tomorrow if the car was fixed. The guys attitude was amazing and even pointed at the restaurants that were within walking distance. I attempted to tip him afterwards and he said” absolutely not”.

So the evening has been restful but I am hoping to be able to be home Thursday to celebrate my birthday with my family. I am thankful that this did not happen on the road and in a nice place with great food, a mall and nice Chevy folks.

Anyone care to share thoughts on this - thank you in Advance!

Dealer says that it needs a new injector and harness. They have to order it and will be in tomorrow morning and hopefully will be done tomorrow. Meanwhile I am still stranded here
UPDATE: After speaking to the Service Manager in person mid day, the truck needs all 4 passenger side Fuel Injectors replaced. She explained it and showed me at the garage bay. They said that the fuel rail showed lots of corrosion and the injectors were disintegrated as they were being removed. They said the drivers side checked out perfectly and that the parts are on Back order with about a weeks wait.
So since I am stranded and despite this being a nice area, I really want to go home.
The service manager rented me a car for my drive home tomorrow morning but she initially was willing to give me a loaner if I bought it back by Saturday which wasn’t good for me. They will also deliver my truck back to NY and the total price for the entire job & delivery will be $2650 with tax.
I can tell you the last 2 days have been stressful but I don’t feel like I have been take to the cleaners or am I wrong

What about the five-year 60000-mile warranty?

Wow that is some crazy fraying on that harness. I betting the tech did that trying to pry the rail out, but sometimes it can't be helped if the injectors are wedged in tight.
I'm not surprised some may have broke coming out. Injectors on these engines can be a bear.
