Recently picked up a 2004 Tahoe(with some input from you guys, Thanks).

One BP Tahoe had 9200 hours on the clock, but only 33K on the odometer. i passed.

Picked up one that has 3200 on the hour meter. Is that a lot for a truck with 64K on it?

Mine just reset itself to zero a couple of months ago. I have heard others say the same about their own. I am not sure you can use this "meter" as an accurate source of engine hours. FYI

bumping this thread to see what some of you all have for engine hours.
i was told a long time ago about using a ration of engine hours and miles to find out actual driving use

What year is your Tahoe? If you have the DIC system, it is one of the items you can scroll through. If not, you have to hold down the trip button (possibly with truck off).

225k miles with 6500 hours. I am the second owner. I know it didn't idle a lot and most of these were highway miles. Averages to 34.6 mph or 1 minute 45 seconds per mile. Sounds reasonable to me. haha

Mine is an 06' with 91K on the clock. Only 447 hours on it.

In contrast, my F-450 work truck which is also an 06' has just under 8400 hours on it but that gets started in the morning and shut off at the end of my shift basically.....
