I’ve got a 09 Tahoe LTZ 4x4 with the 6 speed transmission. I’ve got to get a new engine harness and I gave my VIN to the dealership and they are telling me that I have two possible harnesses. One w/o a wire at cavity 6 on the transmission harness and one with it. I can not find a wiring diagram or pin out or anything to tell me how to figure out if I do or don’t have a wire at cavity 6 or what cavity 6 even is. So the harness w/o is discontinued. My question is if I got the harness with the cavity 6 wire, and didn’t have that wire on my current harness, would it matter and would I be able to use the harness?

If the dealer can confirm that the two harnesses are 100% identical other than one has an extra wire in one spot, then get the one with the wire. When comparing it to you original harness, if yours doesn't have that wire, you can cut it and seal it off.
