It's not hard, I did mine myself and with my buddies dad. I did the triple setup from tejcurrent. Who did you order yours from? It's pretty simple, just follow the instructions. Remove original belt, bolt up and install the new bracket and second alt. Then put on the new belt. You just splice in the oval plug to the original 4 pin plug.

On mine the hardest thing was to relocate the brain of the truck out of the way, the dual bracket you shouldnt have to move much out of the way.

Damn, you were right it wasnt a bad install! Im glad i had a friend with a drill bit and his help but it went in like a snap! I think the only snag was finding the right "fuse" to take out and reinstalling it with the new one.

I have pics that ill post

Who did you buy that bracket from? And what fuse are you talking about?

I'm curious as to what fuse you had to swap out? You shouldn't have had to change out anything.

In order to "excite" the new alternator(s) you have to tap into any fuse that is on with the ignition. At least that's what I just had to do with my DC dual alternators.

I did do it without to see what would happen and the alternator was only reading 12.7 (the battery bank voltage), and after tapping into the IGN1 fuse, it was reading 14.8 (from what I can remember) something in between 14.6 and 14.8.

I'm thinking that voltage tells the alternator that it is on a system and should output voltage.
