Door Switch

On one of my passenger doors, the vehicle never knows when the door is open. This is a security hole. I can't find a switch anywhere that I can check that lets the car know the door is open. Does anyone know where that is or how I can check the switch?

I think its part of the latch assembly.

The fix for my issue was a loose connector somewhere behind the door panel. I had my Tahoe in for some work and I told them to check out the door too.
