Hey guys,

Starting today I can't get my car to register the doors as closed any more.

When I press 'lock' on the remote it gives me a warning chime and a 'door open' message. I opened and shut all doors, but no change.

Where are the door open switches located on the 04 Tahoes?

Best wishes,
Chris

The switches are in the door latches themselves. There is an electrical connector that plugs into them. A closed circuit indicates door ajar and an open circuit indicates door closed. If you want to diagnose which door is giving you the problem, your best bet is to unplug each one of those door latches one-by-one. Once they are unplugged, theoretically this should indicate a closed door. If the door ajar message goes away after unplugging from one of the latches, then replace that latch. If this doesn't solve the problem, I will bet your body control module (bcm) is bad.
