I don't know for sure but I'm starting to think when doing the initial set up as a new vehicle owner there was a question if passenger disabling should be allowed. Does anyone remember this? Am I imagining it?

If it does exist in the set ups it might explain why some people see it and others don't. If it is an original set up to allow the disabling then there must be a way to reset the main user interface back to "new" user or owner and go through the prompts again, this time around not allow a passenger to bypass the lockout.

Maybe I'm nuts, my wife might be right.

Every time I start my 2022 Yukon with a passenger, I am prompted asking if I want to "disable lockouts." I think it prompts so the passenger has access to the front screen. I would like to turn off the prompt as it is repetitive and unnecessary. Any thoughts?
Good afternoon. Have you found a solution. It is so annoying. Kendra

I do not remember seeing anything. Tried resetting to factor defaults but did not give me a option for that. Ughh. I cannot stand it.

I have not yet identified a solution to turn off the prompt.

I just realized that I haven't been seeing this prompt (i.e. the "Disable Lockouts?" prompt on my infotainment screen) when I start up lately. Has it gone away for the others that used to see it as well? I think they may have removed it via software update...

After seeing the posts about updates causing bricking, I am reluctant to proceed with any updates....

When I'm driving with my wife, there's a red dot on the bell (notification) icon. Tapping on the bell then shows a "disable lockout" message.

Mine pops up with a passenger, but goes away on its own in maybe 15 seconds or so…
