And the last 30 miles before this fillup was uphill, from 8,000'asl to 10,000'asl. Don't be jealous

I'll raise you 4 miles! LOLAnd the last 30 miles before this fillup was uphill, from 8,000'asl to 10,000'asl. Don't be jealousView attachment 378644

Yep! This 2012 F550 2wd assumes 350+ miles on a full tank but if you look at the dash once it catches up to half a tank the truck realizes it only gets 7 mpg> and gets like 200 to the tank. Cruise control 600 pound load 65 mph all freeway for 45 miles each way. Edit: this truck is supposed to reach 12 mpg but it has trans issues and a valve tick but even 12 mpg unloaded freeway best I’ve done is 7.3 it has a damn drinking problem!Last time I trusted the fuel range reading, I ran out of gas while it was showing 84 miles. Now, granted, I had just driven 583 miles without stopping, but still, that's a big error.
I think that you added a 2nd gas tank to your truck. And the last 30 miles before this fillup was uphill, from 8,000'asl to 10,000'asl. Don't be jealousView attachment 378644

That's what mine showed me after my wife drove it this morning! LOL
What is your fuel capacity? My Yukon Denali has 25.5 gal I think? Our previous 02 Surburban had 33 gal capacity? and a 5.3 giving it greater range.
If it's an XL, you should have a 31 gallon tank. What is your fuel capacity? My Yukon Denali has 25.5 gal I think? Our previous 02 Surburban had 33 gal capacity? and a 5.3 giving it greater range.
I could drive the Surburban back to TX with only 1 fuel stop. Our Denali requires 2 stops due to capacity.
Just over 31 gallons. Just the other day we broke our long range record and went 515 miles using 27.2 gallons of fuel with an average speed for that tank of 55.4 mph. Don't remember if I took a picture of the dash after refueling. You're doing great efficiency wise with a 6.2 motor. What is your fuel capacity? My Yukon Denali has 25.5 gal I think?
