I'm about to go on a trip and went to try and install my Yakima rocket box on top of my Tahoe.... Only to find that the crossbars on the Tahoe are not adjustable. Well, there are actually two settings, one completely spread apart and the other about 28" apart.

My Yakima rocket box requires the bars to be 32" apart. What's the deal here? All my crossbars from past vehicles were adjustable. Is there a fix for this? Would any one recommend me drilling holes in the in my rails to accommodate my rocket box, or would I be better off finding a cargo box that will fit specifically?

Needless to say, I'm very surprised by this!
