I’m gonna have to come up with something to pull my bed some day so I can replace my air management.

Well, if it wasn't for me thinking of my uncles tractor, I was gonna use an engine hoist with 4 ratchet straps. Lol

I was about to suggest to Mark to use an engine hoist. Or if he's one that has friends...

I have no friends. Or a garage big enough to get a normal size vehicle into. I might be able to get the back half of the Silvy into it though and use an electric winch from the rafters IDK. I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it. Or try to make some friends who have garages.

You're a smart one- Friends quite often turn out to be burdens.

I like the winch on the rafters idea. You can get a few 2x4s to grab a few rafters to spread the load then use a few 2x4s under the rafters, vertically to the ground, for extra support. Nail two 2x4s together to make "strongbacks" and it should be pretty stout.

I always used my engine hoist pulling the beds off my 80s square body pickups and more recently (15-20 yrs ago... hey it’s recent to me!) my old beater w250 dodge. A few 2x4s nailed together turned on edge spanning inside the bed rails and its up. Just gotta find center so it comes up level. Jc Whitney used to sell a steel grid that hooked inside the bed rails.. hook a chain up and done.... no guess work. Im old now, haven’t done that shit in years.....tractors and electric winches work better im sure... but in a pinch.. engine hoist ftw.

Yep, I also thought about 2x4s on end from the rafters of my shop but my rafters are made of channel and I just don't trust it. Also, the bed would've been in the way, cause that's the side of the shop I work on, lol.

Anywho, the bed is on and the trucks back into the shop. Had to stop cause my younger two have a dance recital here in about 10 mins, lol.

Tomorrow am I'll button up the bed, connect back the wires and tackle the front. Should have about 2 hours max of work left. That's with me working alone. If my dad comes hand tools I can knock it out quicker.

Yeah well, the 2 hours max work turned into much more. Both side lower ball joints fought me tooth and nail. I resorted to a 16lb to finally get em loose.

I also plastidipped the front emblem!

Changed out the cabin air filter too! Here's the old one and my 11y/o helping!

Well, here's 2/5 drop on oem 20s

I like it but size matters and another inch would be badass
I'll see what it looks like after 305/35/24. I can swap out the shackles for stocks in the rear and have a brand new set of struts on the work bench. Yes, I ordered the kit in anticipation [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

So, I hadn't posted any updates in a while!

I've since put painted gm wheel arches, swapped out the door handles and mirror caps for painted ones and I put on a bakflip tonneau cover that I scored free from a buddy, yep, FREE.

Shined up the ole hag this morning too!
